20/05/2010 | “Pharmintech 2010”: Success for Marchesini Group

Innovative solutions for the pharmaceutical packaging industry in a showcase of 500 square meters where over three hundred customers from all over Italy and Europe, and markets of the Middle East in particular, were welcomed.
Role leader at “Pharmintech 2010” (third edition of the reference trade fair for the pharmaceutical and “over-the-counter medicines” industry, which took place in Bologna on May 12th14th) was Marchesini Group. In an attractive and modern showcase, the Group presented stand-alone machines and complete lines for packaging various types of pharmaceutical products (liquids, solids and creams) of great interest to the international market.
Maurizio Marchesini, CEO of the Group, is pleased with the outcome of this third edition of Pharmintech. “Our expectations for the event were certainly satisfied – Mr. Marchesini commented. As Marchesini Group, we met many Italian customers and customers from the Middle East who showed great interest in our stand-alone machines and complete lines exhibited”. “What’s more, an interesting novelty – Mr. Marchesini continued – was that of opening the trade fair to exhibitors dedicated to Contract Packaging: companies were thus able to meet potential partners to whom they may outsource their pharmaceutical production and packaging business. We firmly believe in the growth of this trade fair, which could become an important meeting point also for experts of pharmaceutical technologies”.
Much appreciated by customers - who came mainly from Italy, from various European countries but also from India and Maghreb - were the four versions of the labelling machine produced by Neri: BL400 “Track&Trace”. The machine applies and controls track and trace codes on pharmaceuticals and labels with various code combinations. The machines on show, all complete with product track and trace software of three different suppliers (Laetus, Sea Vision and Sytech) were successful in view of their impressive flexibility and reliability.
Visitors were also rather interested in Integra300, an integrated robotic blister line capable of integrating the two thermoforming and cartoning operations in one single unit: this system exploits the robotic connection “Robocombi” to pick-up the blisters and subsequently place them directly in the cartons.
Visitors also appreciated the Group’s new advertising campaign, which was presented for the occasion at Marchesini’s stand and which interprets the group’s reference concept quite clearly: “Tomorrow’s Technology Today. The future is achieving what others find impossible”.
Customers very much enjoyed the two late-afternoon events organised after the trade fair closed its doors, at the group’s headquarters in Pianoro: a pleasant and relaxing opportunity for guests also to visit the company.

03/05/2010 | Marchesini Group, Tomorrow’s Technology Today

Tomorrow’s Technology Today. The future is achieving what others find impossible”. This is the concept of the new advertising campaign of Marchesini Group, which will be revealed for the first time at “Pharmintech 2010”.
There are many reasons for this choice.
Marchesini Group has indeed been way ahead in the packaging industry for over 30 years: initially as a pioneer and later as a recognized international leader to finally become a role model of cutting edge technology and innovation. The group lives for research, invests incessantly in breakthrough equipment and never neglects the topic of environmental safeguard. Not to forget skill and proficiency, which make each service thorough and flawless.
For this reason Marchesini Group is able to offer “Tomorrow’s Technology Today”: because it is able to supply original and cutting edge, modular and flexible solutions, confirming its name on the market as an all-round and trustworthy partner for absolutely any packaging solution.
What more can we say: “Marchesini Group, welcome to the future!”

01/05/2010 | Marchesini Group at "Pharmintech 2010"

High-tech and innovative solutions created for packaging a variety of pharmaceutical products in an appealing stand of 500 m². Among the main exhibitors of “Pharmintech 2010” – the third edition of the pharmaceutical packaging trade fair to go on scene in Bologna from May 12th14th (Hall 19 - Stand D63) – will be Marchesini Group. The group will showcase complete lines and stand-alone machines, all cutting edge and able to satisfy every packaging requirement of liquid, solid and cream products.
First and foremost, to prove the Group’s utmost attention to the topic of pharmaceutical serialization, there will be four versions of the labeller produced by Neri, BL400 XL “Track&Trace”, which applies and controls traceability codes on pharmaceuticals and also labels with various code combinations. Marchesini’s versatility in guaranteeing the possibility to install all product track and trace software on the machine is confirmed by the fact that the group will exhibit  4 machines, equipped with systems of three different suppliers: Laetus, Sea Vision and Sytech.
Marchesini’s stand will also host two Neri labellers designed for different products: the BL400 for syrups and the BL600 for vials.
As for the solids market, the role leader will be Integra300, an integrated robotic blister line that integrates the two thermoforming and carton packaging operations in one single monobloc unit. The line features an integrated robotic connection, Robocombi; this solution picks up each individual blister and places it directly in the buckets of the cartoner, without any intermediate steps.
On show will also be the tube filler for tablets MT1000, which clearly changes the concept of filling rigid tubes, thanks to its revolutionary filling system. Worth a mention is also machine model MST200MINI, a fast, compact and ergonomic machine that packages solid products in strips.
For the creams market, an area will be dedicated to the tube filling line, made up of the Millennium 120 filler, with its innovative and easy to disassemble dispensing unit, installed in line with the cartoner MA155.
To conclude, some interesting news. On May 12th at 12.20 pm, in the “Innovation Center” (Pavillion 22) of the trade fair, Paolo D’Anna, area manager of Marchesini Group, will illustrate Marchesini’s robotic solutions applied to the pharmaceutical packaging lines and machines.
On May 12th13th, after the trade fair closes, from late afternoon through to 9 pm Marchesini Group will invite its customers for “sundowners” at its Headquarters in Pianoro: a pleasant and relaxing opportunity for guests also to visit the company.

03/04/2010 | Success for the “Show Room Track & Trace 2010” in Barcelona

The event entitled “SHOW ROOM TRACK & TRACE 2010” took place on March 15th19th in Barcelona, at the head office of STE PHARMA SYSTEMS. The event was successful in terms of attendance. On show were role leading technological solutions ready to meet the specific legal traceability requirements for the pharmaceutical product packaging industry.
The initiative made room for the labelling machine BL400 produced by Neri of Marchesini Group – in the two versions VTE XL and XL – that apply track and trace codes on pharmaceuticals and also labels with various code combinations. Attending customers showed great interest in the labelling machine BL400VTEXL, which proves how much effort Marchesini Group puts in the topic of pharmaceutical serialization. This high speed machine (450 cartons per minute) not only accommodates up to three labelling heads for the application of one vignette on the top and two on the corners of the carton (Tamper Evident), but also for printing Datamatrix codes on an impressive three positions (top face and two flaps of the carton).
