01/03/2010 | “SHOW ROOM TRACK & TRACE 2010”
STE PHARMA SYSTEMS, Barcelona, will host the event entitled “SHOW ROOM TRACK & TRACE 2010” from March 15th to 19th.
The event will highlight technological solutions ready to meet the specific requirements of track and trace standards for the pharmaceutical packaging industry.
On the morning of the event, David Mateo from STE, Lauro Bartoli from Marchesini Group, Debora Allasio and Luigi Carrioli, from RC-Sea Vision, will give their speeches. The machines on show will then be illustrated, starting from the Labelling machine model BL400 produced by Neri of Marchesini Group – in the two VTE XL and XL versions – which applies track and trace codes on pharmaceuticals as well as labels combined in a variety of combinations. There will also be a DEMO TABLE with DATABOX control system by RC-SEA – and a CBR – with Datamatrix code control system.
Customers who attend the event will also have the opportunity to take a look at the labelling machine model BL400VTEXL in action, which proves how much effort Marchesini Group dedicates to the serialization of pharmaceutical products. This high speed machine not only fits up to three labelling heads to apply one vignette on the top and two on the corners of the carton (Tamper Evident) but also prints Datamatrix codes on an impressive three positions (top face and two flaps of the carton).
The strongholds of the machine, which has already won remarkable success on the international market, are many; first and foremost the machine has a balcony structure, is ergonomic and totally accessible, meaning that it is easy to clean and manage, plus the whole production process is always visible. The labeller features step motion – which guarantees maximum precision in applying the label and also the end result – as well as precise and quick size changing.
To conclude, this machine also rejects non-compliant products and works at a very high speed (450 cartons per minute).
Specifically speaking, the machine exhibited will comprise a printer model Wolke m600 advance, OCV RC-SEA VISION control system, synchronization between the Wolke and SEA units, full “Track and Trace” system, “Grading” control and data management.
The other version of Neri’s labeller on show, namely model BL400 XL, will feature a Laser printer MACSA, RC-SEA VISION DATABOX control system, synchronization between Laser printer and RCSEA system and “French coding” printer.
08/02/2010 | The countdown begins: at the end of October, the inauguration of the new building and the 5-day OH
Extension work continues on the building dedicated to logistic activities, which will be inaugurated during the last week of October and that will accommodate the 5-day Open House.
Having commenced the year 2010, Marchesini starts the countdown to the last week of October for the opening ceremony of the group’s new logistics building, which will be the Top event of the year: the 5-day "Open House".
For Marchesini Group, the concept of creating a new building does not just mean giving life to a new structure that will allow the business to concentrate all the group’s logistic activities effectively and strategically but it means first and foremost to plight its troth in a project focused on eco-compatibility and environmental sustainability.
The building, designed by Architect Stefano Visinelli, has indeed been devised and built to reduce environmental impact and maximise energy efficiency.
The building – which develops over three thousand five hundred square meters and that involves an investment of approximately € 6,500.000 – will have an Airklima geothermal plant that will be able to guarantee a comfortable work environment (warm in winter and cool in summer), exploiting an environment friendly technology. In view of these features, the project represents a way of doing business aiming at ever-sustainable development, aware and respectful of the environment, in which Marchesini Group has always believed and invested.
After cutting the tape, the new building will welcome customers from all over the world, together with specialist press members during the “Open House of Marchesini Group”, the top event of 2010. Five days of “open doors” offering guests the opportunity to take a look at Marchesini’s new complete lines and stand-alone machines actually at work, all of which involve cutting edge solutions for packaging pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
13/01/2010 | Versatile and reliable: the WR washing machine
A cutting edge machine for cleaning the inside and outside of primary liquid pharmaceutical containers such as ampoules, vials and cartridges. Its name is WR, the updated version of the washing machine produced by Corima that processes up to 400 pieces per minute for 2ml ampoules and that complies with the highest of quality standards of the pharmaceutical industry. With the latest version of the renowned washing machine model WR, Corima confirms its founding business policy: that of producing innovative machines suitable for the specific requirements of the market, focusing on constant renewal and improvement.
Let’s take a look at the features and advantages of the machine in detail.
The standard cleaning cycle of the machine comprises 8 stations that clean the inside of the containers and 4 stations that clean the outside. The supply sequence of the utilities in the cleaning stations can be freely configured in order to increase the efficiency of the cleaning process itself and to obtain the conditions of repeatability required to validate the process.
The model of the latest generation is a machine with continuous motion; the main drives – or rather those for transporting the containers and for handling the spraying needles of the utilities – are controlled by servo-motors. This solution has been adapted to be able to manage the parameters related to size changing through programs saved on the control system; this minimizes all the size changing operations, which merely involve the replacement of the screw and star wheels for selecting, loading and unloading the primary containers.
Among the new features added after updating this machine worth a special mention are the mechanical solutions adopted to manage the movements of the needles and the new protection booth, which enables easy access in total safety from any point of the machine.
The machine supplies and manages compressed air, water for injectables, recycled water and, where necessary, an aerosol of silicon oil with dedicated circuits and equipped with a number of controls that can be personalised based on the customer’s specific needs.
The machine’s control system offers the possibility to save the supply time of the individual utilities within the parameters of the processing programs in order to optimise the cleaning processes and to minimise the costly consumption of water for injectable use.
Special care has been taken in the choice of all the constructional materials as well as the suppliers of components that come into contact with the process fluids, so that the documents and certificates issued with the machine supply meet the requirements imposed by regulatory authorities in full.
Last but not least, the machine is offered with various optional solutions, among which are the loading tank for the ultrasonic pre-washing of the primary containers, drying of the washing water supply hoses by means of compressed air and silicon treatment of the containers prior to the depyrogenation process in the tunnels installed downstream from the machine.
23/12/2009 | Monsignor Vecchi at Marchesini to celebrate Christmas mass
Over a hundred workers and business men and women of Marchesini Group attended the Christmas mass celebrated by Monsignor Ernesto Vecchi (see picture) at the Headquarters of Marchesini in Pianoro. The focal points of the sermon were the adversities currently encountered in the world of labour and the importance of helping those in greater difficulty; all concepts shared by Maurizio Marchesini and his brother Marco (see picture).
