Precise and reliable: the new electro-mechanical counter “Electra”
From the combined experience between the world of blister and counting machines produced by Marchesini Group/Division Vasquali-Tonazzi comes the new electro-mechanical counter "ELECTRA": the machine is a mechanical/volumetric counter of tablets or similar products, with certified counting system. Furthermore, the possibility to install a visual control system to verify the counting process and at the same time to check the quality/integrity of the products makes this new counter unique.
The machine, designed specifically for tablet-like products (round or regularly sized or oval, coated and uncoated) features a balcony structure right along the work area, which is completely separate from the mechanical and electrical area: Thus making it easy to clean the machine and to change size.
The mechanical speed of this machine is 40 unload-cycles/min. The machine’s performance also depends not only on product feeding possibilities/facility, but also on the number of rows that can be set-up in 170 mm, based on the size of the products.
The feeding system: utmost precision
The type of tablet feeding system is the blister solution MB430 by Marchesini.
The plastic or glass vials are infed in a number of rows (based on the diameter of the vial and on the count); each row is fed continuously and constantly and the correct position of the vials in the product unloading position is always guaranteed.
In the tablet unloading phase, a series of 2-3 electro-pneumatic "stopps" sort, count, verify and dispense the products in the vials.
All parts that come into contact with the product are made of stainless steel 316L or FDA approved material and can be dismantled without using spanners. Each vibrating plate is pre-arranged to be connected to a dust extraction system, while the first plate is the one that sorts/screens broken tablets. Furthermore, each vibrator is independent and its speed can be adjusted from the PC.
It takes just 10 minutes to change size for the product and 10 minutes for the vial.
The control and verification system: extremely reliable
The vision system installed ensures dual control, of the count and of the quality of the tablets: in this way broken, chipped and non-conforming tablets, in terms of colour and/or marks, are easily detected.
When non-conforming products are detected, the compromised vial is rejected and, in this case, the rejection operation is verified.
This system therefore guarantees a counting process that can be certified without uncertainties: the volumetric control system does indeed guarantee the number of tablets counted, checked and fed into the individual vials 100%.
