Originally designed to automatically pack consumer products into “Blisterpacks”, the versatility of the FDC320 along with the traditional Farcon high manufacturing quality, has fostered the development of special applications also for the most demanding market sectors, like cosmetic and pharmaceutical
This machine is essentially made up by two modules solidly linked together by a common mechanical main drive, as follows:
- thermoforming + cutting module:
- Starting from reel, the thermoformable material is pre-heated, formed and cut into single pockets. A transfer unit picks up the formed pockets and, spacing them apart to the correct centre distance suitable for the following operations, places them down on the:
- Bucket Chain Module:
- a set of size plates holds the formed individual pockets in position for the operations to follow
- the mechanical bucket chain accurately indexes the packs through all the following packaging phases, namely:
- pocket presence check
- product/s automatic feeding
- product presence check (by camera or other means)
- backing size cards feeding from magazin
- heat-sealing
- cooling
- possible printing
- rejects handling and transfer of the good finished packs to any downstream operation
Sturdy construction, robust mechanical drive (shaft + lift cams), use of state-of-the-art components and systems (field bus, graphic MMI, to name but a few) as well as servo-drives on the product feeding, the FDC series provides for high automation level into packaging processes that are still mostly hand-made nowadays.
The easy change over with fixed positions and no need for tools in the main stations, accounts for a user friendly equipment.
