FLEXIBILITY AND INNOVATION IN PHARMACEUTICAL COUNTING

The solids area of the Marchesini Group confirms the dynamic attitude of the Group by proposing ever more flexible and innovative solutions.
The latest addition to the Group’s range is the FT24 twin electronic counter, which together with the well-known FTC12 can satisfy production of up to 120 bottles per min.
Component standardization and the user interface are one of the Marchesini Group’s fundamental commitments, as the Group has always insisted in providing complete solutions. This is why the “custom” version of the industrial PC which has been used up until now on the FTC12 has been replaced with the Siemens PC677, the PC used on all Marchesini Group machines requiring an advanced interface.
This electronic counter easily adapts to the widest range of solid pharmaceuticals (shape, size, consistency, colour, etc.) and is now backed up by a refined troubleshooting system that enables the operator to identify any  fault quickly and clearly. All this, plus a simple and immediate recipe compilation procedure that allows any operator, even without any specific experience, to quickly create suitable programmes for the type of product or count required.

Still in the solids segment, the Group has recently developed a Monobloc including a counting and a capping devices within a single unit in order to:

1. Meet the growing need to protect the operator, depending on how toxic the product is.

2. Reduce the primary space high costs by using an extremely compact solution.

The result is a truly unique machine that has immediately created great interest.

• A single basement that has been specially designed to hold two units and, if necessary, to include the installation of a RAB containment system.
• All functions are integrated with in the Siemens PC677 industrial PC.
• Brushless drive for bottle transport starwheels.
• Rotating screw-on pick up unit with a Marchesini patented torque checking device and brushless drive.
• Option of installing a colour videocamera product checking system that can distinguish shape, size and colour.
• Option of fitting the machine with an isolation cabin equipped with gloved handholes, that satisfies the most strict Operator Exposition Level (OEL) requirements.
