TotalSpect 360
The TotalSpect 360, the new Neri vision system built for checking round containers: a device able to perform multiple cosmetic checks on moving product by using a single camera. Applications that are difficoult to perform with conventional systems using multiple cameras, such as checking the integrity of a seal or reading a very small two-dimensional code, are simple and foolproof with TotalSpect 360 technology.
Thanks to this device which is able to process up to 300 products per minute, it is possible to have a complete view of the product without the need to turn or stop it.TotalSpect 360 technology is an innovative and a versatile system for the market, because it is able to perform several functions by using a single camera. The result is more secure checks, simpler control and minimised set-up issues compared with conventional vision systems.
System features: 360 degree versatility
TotalSpect 360 presents itself as a highly versatile system and with winning features.
The machine has a balcony structure, the containers pass underneath the optical check system and, if they are outside the parameters set, they are rejected or they continue towards the next machine.
The product flow through the machine is continuous, without any kind of stops or turning.
For capturing images it utilizes a system of mirrors and lens which, coupled with an industrial vision MegaPixel camera, captures a polar image of the lateral surface of moving products. It is also possible to optain an image of the cap and by using a special device capture four views of the cap allowing, for example, the operator to check that the seal has been correctly applied.
Once the image has been captured, a software process gives a rectangular view of the polar image, allows the position adjustments refearing to a fixed point and corrects the perspective and any uneven lighting.
When the image has been processed, the appropriate checks can be carried out, such as checking the legibility of overprinting with O.C.R. (Optical Character Recognition) and O.C.V. (Optical Character Verification), checking and reading bar codes and two-dimensional codes (DataMatrix, data Code, etc.), checking label position and precision and item presence check.
Upon customers request special applications can be developed and additional industrial cameras can be added.
