28/05/2009 | Marchesini Group, a role leader at “Achema 2009”

“Achema 2009 was an important opportunity for the Group to assess the situation and was also an occasion for our customers to personally evaluate the innovative solutions that our machines are able to offer for all packaging requirements”. This is Maurizio Marchesini’s conclusion, managing director of Marchesini Group, at the end of “Achema 2009”, one of the most important trade fairs on Chemical Engineering, Environmental Protection and Biotechnology, which takes place every three years in Frankfurt (this year from 11th15th May).
An average of 100 visitors stopped off at Marchesini’s stand each day for the five days of the event. The Group’s customers – who came from all around the world and in particular from Europe and the Middle and Far East – confirmed a positive trend for the market which, despite the worldwide economic crisis, proves to be alert and interested in particular in innovative technological solutions for the pharmaceutical packaging industry.
The commercial outcome was excellent too, as Piero Tomasi, the Sales Director of the group confirmed: “In our stand of approximately 500 square meters – Mr. Tomasi pointed out – our customers had the opportunity to admire cutting edge complete lines and stand alone machines dedicated to the liquids and solids markets, realising in person what the business mission is for Marchesini Group: that of offering complete and leading edge solutions for all pharmaceutical and cosmetic packaging requirements and of representing a reference point for its customers, be they multinational enterprises or small and medium companies”.

26/05/2009 | Two wheels and much enthusiasm: the first “Motorbike meeting"

The first “Motorbike meeting of Marchesini Group” took place on Saturday 23rd May. Role leaders of the event were about sixty motorbikes and their enthusiastic riders, who work for Marchesini Group. The itinerary was exciting, stopping off at some of the Group’s factories: Starting from Farcon in Carpi (Modena), the motorbikers first stopped off at the Head Quarters of Marchesini in Pianoro (Bologna), then at Neri in Barberino del Mugello (Florence) and finally at Corima in Monteriggioni (Siena). After a drive around the beautiful hills of Chiantishire, all the participants met for lunch to end the day joyfully.

31/03/2009 | Maurizio Marchesini will be the new chairman of Unindustria Bologna

The succeeding chairman of Unindustria Bologna will be Maurizio Marchesini. Already the “number one man” of the engineering division of the association of Bolognese industrialists, Mr. Marchesini was pointed out by the API committee (Association of small and medium enterprises), chaired by Giordano Baietti, appointing him unanimously to take over from Gaetano Maccaferri. Mr. Marchesini will take charge during June’s meeting.
Chairman of the engineering division of Unindustria Bologna (1.043 enterprises with over 45.500 employees), in 2008, Maurizio Marchesini organised some important initiatives: from the “Engineering Pride” set-up for young students to point them in the direction of the world of enterprises (over 700 young students visited some enterprises), to sectorial seminars on subcontracting (with more than 500 subcontractors involved), through to the definition of a debate with the associations of Modena and Reggio Emilia.

18/02/2009 | Marchesini Group at “Achema 2009”

Marchesini Group, a worldwide leader in the field of automatic machines and complete lines for packaging pharmaceutical and cosmetic products, will be attending “Achema 2009” – to take place in Frankfurt from the 11th15th May – with cutting edge machinery dedicated to the liquid and solid product market in Hall 3.1Stand O32-Q41.

The Group will exhibit some peak equipment for the liquid product market: in pole position will be the new ampoule line made up of the continuous rotary washing machine for ampoules WRA24-8, the new sterilization tunnel with cold chamber NLT60S-C and the ampoule filling-sealing machine RSF24, equipped with 8 dispensing pumps.

Role leader will also be a vial line made up of the ML616 monobloc high speed rotary machine for filling and capping glass vials for syrup, equipped with 12 filling heads and 8 capping heads. It avails of a statistic control system and rejects non-compliant products. The line also comprises the labeller (SL400) and the continuous cartoning machine (MA305).

For the syringe market, the Group will exhibit the FSP10 machine that fills and closes disposable sterile syringes pre-arranged in BD Hypack systems or equivalent systems, in an aseptic environment and a thermoformer Farcon FB220. For creams, Marchesini will put its Millennium120 tube filling machine on display, produced by Tonazzi Vasquali, with its cutting edge and easily detachable batching unit.

As for the solid product market, the role leader will be Integra, a cutting edge integrated robotic blister line that incorporates the thermoforming and carton packaging procedure in just one unit. On show will also be the MT1000 tablet filling and capping machine that clearly changes the concept of filling rigid tubes. The group will also exhibit the electronic counting machine FTC12 that is able to count tablets, coated tablets and hard and gelatinous capsules.

To prove Marchesini’s commitment towards the theme of serialization of pharmaceutical products, the Group will present its new labeller with track & trace system (BL400VTE) at “Achema 2009”: an innovative solution optimised by the group to provide substantial solutions for all the needs to trace packaged pharmaceutical products.

05/02/2009 | A new training service for customers

Marchesini considers a sale to be just the starting point for long-term cooperation with the customer.
With this policy in mind, Marchesini Group has indeed decided to offer a new service to assist its customers: a tailor-made training course for operators and technicians who will work with the new machines such to create an added value for customers.
This training service is more innovative than traditional initiatives and aims at training the customers and their employees who will be in charge of the systems purchased and installed.
One part of the training service comprises a practical intensive course, held either at the manufacturer’s factory or at the customer’s factory, during the test phase of the machines – which involves roughly two days of training per machine – so that technicians and operators receive in-depth information on the correct and specific operating procedures of the systems installed (how to use the machine during production, how to clean it, how to change size and so on).
The other part comprises a full set of specific back-up documents written in Italian and English, which are given to the customer and are available for all the models of machines purchased, be they stand-alone or a complete line.
The course is held by qualified personnel of Marchesini Group in Italian and English. A certificate is issued upon completion for operators who attend the practical training course.
For further information, please contact Barbara Bertolini or Massimo Venturi c/o Marchesini Group.
