Marchesini Group will be at Fachpack 2016, the European trade fair for packaging, technology, processing and logistics. It will take place from 27th to 29th  September at the Exhibition Centre of Nuremberg. The Group’s participation in Fachpack, just like that of Interpack in 2014 and Achema in 2015, confirms how important the German market is for the Marchesini Group, which has been managed since 1984 by a branch in Viersen, in the north of Germany.

Specifically speaking, Marchesini Group Germany has an “after-sales” structure for technical assistance and spare parts service in order to assist its customers locally and to proficiently meet their needs. Over the years, it has sold more than 1,000 machines in the three areas for which it is responsible, satisfying the requirements of a market that is strategically important to the Group in terms of mutual growth and for the exchange of technological input that this partnership has produced. German pharmaceutical customers, which are mostly multinational enterprises, have brought new technological challenges that Marchesini Group has taken up: resulting in the creation of new, original and technologically state-of-the-art packaging solutions, capable of solving every packaging problem, some of them even quite complex. For this reason, the products which have made history in the production of pharmaceuticals in Germany are packaged with machines and lines designed and built by Marchesini Group.

What is about to become the biggest national thermoforming hub in Italy will be inaugurated shortly after Fachpack ends in October (17th – 21st). For this new factory – which is rising brick upon brick on a building site of over 14 thousand square meters in the industrial zone at the south end of Carpi – Marchesini Group has invested 10 million Euro, inspired by the forecasts of the blister market growing over the coming years, thanks to the ease-of-use and perfectly sterile conditions offered by this product. Once the Hub is up and running, which has taken 300 workers to build in 14 months, it will avail of the top experts of this sector and will employ more than 150 collaborators of the Group.

The opening of the new factory will consist in an Open House (which has now become a classical event for Marchesini) to be held over five days of festivities and meetings of experts. German customers, but also customers from across the whole world, will be given the opportunity to visit not only the actual production facilities, but also the beautiful city of Carpi. All of this will bring new life to Emilia Romagna and give major national importance to this industrial district.
