Marchesini Group reveals its projects for the future at Achema 2015
The recently concluded edition of Achema was attended by 170 thousand visitors and was one of the most successful of all times for Marchesini Group. Just after the Frankfurt Trade Fair closed its gates, Mr. Maurizio Marchesini, CEO of the Group, told us that «these international trade shows always put our company to the test, but they are a great opportunity to meet customers outside normal business hours to talk about other topics and to get their opinions and remarks on what is happening around the world in terms of packaging machinery. My personal thanks go to all our colleagues and fellow workers who helped us run the stand smoothly and who gave everyone who came to see us a truly warm welcome».
700 customers from all corners of the world visited our stand entitled Growing Younger, where they were able to admire the well known Oldies of the Group, like the Stery Capsy line as well as some novelties put on show for the first time. One of these was the special version of the BL A420, which has a wider range of processable sizes; the Extrafill filling and stoppering monobloc for syringes in nests stole the show thanks to its human-like robotic arm and the new incredibly versatile vial filler and capper ML 643, which can be used for pharmaceutical liquids, but also for the cosmetic and nutritional markets too.
The key player of the show was the high-tech Integra 520V, representing the future of Marchesini Group thanks to its new features, such as the state-of-the-art pusher unit called “Cinquecento”, the new and very fast carton drum type opener and the advanced leaflet pick-up and insertion system, guaranteeing customers production speeds of up to 500 cartons per minute. The machine was set under a giant screen with a trailer showing how it works; this promotional film was replicated all day throughout the trade show and attracted lots of spectators to the stand on each showing.
Integra 520V is a part of the Group’s BLISTEREVOLUTION project, which commenced at the exhibition with the exclusive presentation of the machine and which will be completed by 2016 when the biggest thermoforming centre in Italy will be opened in Carpi. In the meantime, as usual, the key word of the day continues to be “Growth”. Proof of this was given just after Achema opened its doors when the Marchesini Group announced its acquisition of the Multipack technologies, creating buzzing enthusiasm among customers, journalists and peers. This transaction will strengthen the Group’s know-how in building end-of-line packaging machinery for pharmaceuticals and cosmetics even further.
Achema is not just about machinery and blisters, but also about hospitality and excellent cuisine; as is customary at any major international event in which the company participates, the chefs of Marchesini cooked and served 200 kilos of Tortellini “Made in Bologna”, 50 kilos of risotto, Quinoa and other cereals, 260 eggs for omelettes, 10 kilos of Caprese salad and 85 kilos of Tiramisu dessert.
