Schmucker

Stickpack and Sachet Machines

Schmucker was established in 1977 in a small workshop on the border between Italy and Slovenia, where the two Gorizia-born Schmucker brothers set up a small business with a view to designing systems for the food industry. In the space of a few years, thanks to creative development applied to the mechanical processes, plus ingenious technical solutions, the company consolidated its position and expanded: between the latter half of the ’80s and the early ‘90s, Schmucker became the first company in the world to produce complete plants for the packaging of paste products.

At the same time, Schmucker started to develop packaging machines for sachets sealed on four sides: they were an instant success, thanks also to the regular launch of new models with impressive production capacity.

At the dawn of 2000, thanks to innovative packaging machines for muti-lane production of stick and pillow pack packaging, the company business expanded from small and medium-sized enterprises to multinationals, winning high-level customers in the field of pharmaceuticals, food, cosmetics and the chemical industry, across all continents.

In 2018, Schmucker was taken over by Marchesini Group: a merger that made it possible to expand Schmucker’s know-how and further diversify the machinery and customer portfolio of Marchesini Group.
