On show a robotic packaging line that integrates thermoforming and cartoning operations

Marchesini Group will participate in FCE Pharma 2025, one of the most anticipated trade fairs for the South American pharmaceutical industry.

From June 10 to 12, visitors will be welcomed at Stand E41 - Hall 1 by the team from Marchesini Group do Brasil, the Brazilian branch based in São Paulo, which has been providing customer support and consultancy for several years, ensuring the highest level of professionalism and technical expertise.

On display will be a robotic packaging line that integrates thermoforming and cartoning operations. Called UNICA, it is capable of thermoforming trays for vials, ampoules, syringes, and medical devices using thermoformable films such as PVC, PET, R-PET, Polystyrene (PS), PP, and PLA. At the fair, the machine will operate using sustainable packaging material such as recycled and recyclable PET.

With its 8-meter length, this monoblock line can reach a production speed of up to 42,000 vials/hour, 12,000 syringes/hour, and 36,000 bottles/hour. The monobloc concept, achieved by integrating the thermoformer with the cartoner through a robotic solution developed in-house by Marchesini Group, allows for a reduction in the number of operators required on the line. 

UNICA is highly flexible and ensures a quick format changeover. The feeding system can be customized according to customer needs and can handle many types of products.

The cartoner is an intermittent motion machine that reaches a production speed of up to 100 cartons/minute.
