SALVIAMO PATRICK

Patrick is a young boy from Bologna who was diagnosed with colorectal cancer with KRAS mutation and liver metastasis in 2018. Following the surgical procedures performed, several complications arose resulting in a serious and progressively worsening clinical picture. Since the treatment protocols available in Italy were incompatible with his condition, the only tangible hope for Patrick was to travel to Philadelphia in the US to the Penn Medicine’s Abramson Cancer Center, resulting inevitably in prohibitive costs for Patrick and his family. Despite concerted efforts to provide hope and a positive outcome for Patrick, he sadly succumbed to the disease.
