VISION SYSTEMS FOR CARTONERS
SEA Vision systems offer a very wide range of controls for cartoning machine, starting from the codes printed on the carton flap, on the leaflet, booklet or on the carton body. Other controls are carton content completeness, carton integrity and variable data.
They are installed directly on the cartoning machines and analyze in real-time 100% of the products (not statistic control) also at high speeds. One or more controls are performed simultaneously.
The system is composed by hardware (Industrial PC, cameras, light units) and software (with advanced proprietary algorithms) perfectly integrated with the Marchesini Group packaging machines.
All the computations are performed at very high speed and the result is communicated to the machine to reject automatically the defective cartons without affecting the production speed.

1D/2D Code on Carton
Print management and control of 1D and 2D serialized or not-serialized code (for example QR code, Data Matrix, Pharmacode, EAN code) on different carton sides. ANSI Grading control in real-time to assure the printed quality of the code.
1D/2D Code on Leaflet
Control of the 1D or 2D code printed on the leaflet/booklet.
Variable Data
Print management and control of variable data like production date, batch number, expiry date and other on different carton sides.
Carton Completeness
Control of the presence of the product and of its components, leaflet or booklet inside the carton.
Carton Integrity
Aesthetic imperfections like scratches, holes, impurities, spots, dirt, incorrect or different artwork
Geometrical defects like deformed carton, not properly erected carton, incorrect geometry and proportions
Defects in the application of Tamper Evident: not properly applied, creased or folded; foreign bodies under the Tamper Evident labels
